Drinking & Writing Theater announces its first new show of its 15th season,
F*ck you, Stephen Hawking!.
The new comedy will be performed at the Drinking & Writing Theater, 737 W. Randolph Street, Chicago.
Written by and starring Sean Benjamin and Carolyn Benjamin, F*ck you, Stephen Hawking! is the story of a couple who hear Stephen Hawking’s dire prediction that Earth will come to an end sometime in the next thousand years, and possibly as early as one hundred years. The couple must come to terms with the reality that they have nothing of value to add to saving humanity…except possibly their children…who either need to help find a way to get off Earth or parish. The scenes within the play take place throughout the multiverse where the audience will encounter versions of Stephen Hawking as well as an abducted Kenny Rogers and the babbling head of Dolly Parton.
Sean and Carolyn have previously collaborated on The Neo-Futurist play Pseudo-Chum and the Drinking & Writing shows The Earliest Known Photo of Men Drinking Beer and American Variety 1 and 2.
